About Me
I have been involved with strength training since high school. Things changed when I started going to Western Illinois University. At Western Illinois University, I started to train at Salvation Army Lifting Team (SALT) and this is where I got a taste of Training & Coaching Strength Sports. Under the guidance of Dr. Tim Piper, I started to train & compete in the Sport of Powerlifting. After several years of training and competing in Powerlifting, I decided to try Olympic Weightlifting. After competing in the Spring of 2019, I didn't realize where Olympic Weightlifting was going to take me. I started an Internship at Forza Weightlifting Club in Grayslake IL under the tutelage of Mike Gattone & Dave Ester.
Once my internship was over, they hired me on staff and this is where I fell in love with the sport of Weightlifting. While my time at Forza, I was able to coach athletes at National level and Local Weightlifting Competitions. In July 2022, I decided to move to Knoxville Tennessee to chase other job opportunities. After several months of talking to local business owners and getting to know the Knoxville area, this is where the idea for Tangorra Training Systems was born.
